About

I live in Minnesota and love making jewelry! I began my journey by learning bead weaving. There is something very satisfying about taking hundreds of tiny little beads and making a “fabric” out of them. The possibilities of combining colors and patterns are endless. There is something very relaxing and therapeutic about bead weaving.

The next thing I tried was stringing. It looks easy to do but it takes a lot of practice to be proficient. The balance of bead shapes, sizes, and colors requires a good eye and a dash of luck. Finding the right clasp can make or break a piece. I love the challenge of stringing and coming up with something truly different.
Chainmaille (chainmail) is my latest passion. You can’t beat Sterling silver and gold fill when it comes to bling. There are many maille weaves and adding just the right embellishment to a weave is always challenging. Chainmaille has a smooth yet supple feel that is very pleasing to the touch.
Combining these three methods to make something very different, classic and modern at the same time, is my latest endeavor. I’ll be posting some of my jewelry and describing the techniques in future posts.
